Thessaloniki is Greece's second major economic, industrial, commercial and political centre, and a major transportation hub for the rest of southeastern Europe; its commercial port is also of great importance for Greece and its southeast European hinterland. The city hosts an annual International Trade Fair, the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and the largest bi-annual meeting of the Greek diaspora. Thessaloniki retains several Ottoman and Jewish structures as well as a large number of Byzantine architectural		Larnaca, is a city on the southern coast of Cyprus. It has a population of 12,000 (2001) and is the island's second largest commercial port and an important tourist resort. The island's largest airport, Larnaca International Airport is located on the outskirts of the city. To the north of the city lies the island's oil refinery, which has been reduced to a storage facility after the refinery itself has been sold in 2008. To the south is the Larnaca International Airport. The city of Larnaka is well-known for its picturesque seafront which includes rows of palm trees (oi finikoudes, in the Cypriot dialect). Larnaca Marina is one of the four official entry points, by sea, to Cyprus

Event Overview

Our flight this morning is full of wonderful views of the Greek Islands. From Thessalonika we head south over the Aegean Sea, shortly after passing the waypoint of ESOPO you should be able to see the island of SKIROS on your right side .Continuing on we fly over CHIOS and at the waypoint URNIL you should be able to see the island of SAMOS on your left. Continuing Southeast we will pass to the east of LEROS and then KOS before reaching the island of RHODES. From here a slight left turn takes us over the Mediterranean Sea to the island of CYPRUS and our arrival airport LARNACA.
